Gee, what is your reasoning for returning? In game, do you have a powerful primal motive such as love, vengence etc. Do you have a reason that you can still travel with the party? What is it going to be like as you walk into a bar? How can you "plan" to become a ghost?

Or, is it a lame excuse for powergameing that only a DM interested in pandering to mad desires of his players would allow?

All the best,

Nani?

I'm assuming that this is the actual reason...so in that vein: Master of the Unseen Hand, from Complete Warrior.

From Ghost: I would chose telekinesis and malevolence as my ghost powers.

From Sorcerer: Chose spells like magic missile, shield, telekinesis and any available force spell you are allowed to. These spells will not have the 50% miss chance most other spells will have against corporeal targets. Also, take Eschew Materials, and try not to pick spells with expensive material components or foci.

From Master/Unseen Hand: Get a telekinesis spell going, but on round 1 use your ghost power version of telekinesis with the 5th level Master/Unseen Hand power Fling Skyward. This power will automatically end your ghost power use, and you won't be able to use it again for 1d4 rounds. Then, on round 2, use the telekinesis spell you previously cast to fling another opponent (thus, ending the spell). Now, on round 3, there's a 50% chance you can use your ghost power version again...fling away! If you can't use the ghost power yet, cast telekinesis as a spell again. It will literally be raining men (or orcs, gnolls, etc) when you go into a fight! Master of the Unseen Hand levels will also stack with your HD to determine the caster level of both your ghost power version and spell version of telekinesis.
