A little confusion over Cleric spells [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-13-04, 08:30 AM Can an evil cleric ever cast healing spells (good spells) on his party? Could a good cleric cast inflict spell on a "bad guy"? I'm not talking about spontaneous casting, just regularly memorized spells. It would make sense to me that he could, but the player's handbook makes it seem like this might not be possible

01-13-04, 09:00 AM Healing/Inflict are not "Good" or "Evil" as neither has the [Good] or [Evil] descriptor. Spells like Hallow are alignment based and restricted, healing/inflict are not.
