A Paladin's mount question [Archive] - Wizards Community

Anf if it's so why is there a spell for paladins getting the celestial template for their rides?

And by the way the Aasimar of the MM is a first level warrior with +0 Int but used 8 skillponts and reached, +3, +4, +3, +1 and +1 on CC's. How is that possible?

01-10-06, 03:12 AM The mount isn't a Celestial Creature, just a regular horse of your choice.

As for the Aasimar, I dunno, someone probably just goofed up in the numbers. That actually seems to happen frequently.

I read in a WotC book, though I don't have them in front of me at the moment to remember exactly which it was, that a celestial warhorse is one level higher than a regular warhorse. In other words, a paladin who waited until 6th instead of 5th, could select a celestial warhorse. However, it would not increase in power (hits, AC, etc) until a level past that posted in the PHB.
