Well, as the title says, a PC of mine wants a Hengeyokai in my new campaign. I don't know much about it, but he owns the book and is going to lend it to me soon.
What do you think I should do, considering I'll have a drow and a semi-drow in my campaign also.
They'll start at low levels (3rd i guess for the drows LA+2..), but I want to hear about your experiences with this kind of character...
Thanks...

Get Dragon #318 if you are playing 3.5, the LA of the Hengeyokai kills it(the only reason for the LA in 3.0 was the Shapechanger type, which it doesn't possess in 3.5.
I played a Hengeyokai Samurai with a Naginata, 3.0, and the only good thing was my massive Jump bonuses, from my Rabbit Hybrid form.
Word of note: Character will transform into a harmless animal to spy on NPC's, just make sure you allow this, but if the aniaml is out of place, treat it as such.
The main thing that balances is the limit on transformations per day, make sure he/she keeps track of them, they add up really quickly.

I've played a Hengeyokai Wu-Jen from level 10 to level 25 (ECL: 30, since I used a template given by the DM I attained at level 25 for our "final battle" so to speak).

Be sure to check out "Fortunes and Winds", an AEG book, if you want to make a good hengeyokai. Also remember, they removed the +1 Level Adjustment and made a couple small changes I believe to the core race in 3.5. Anyways, get Fortunes and Winds if you want REALLY fun Hengeyokai.
