The table gives them the power at levels 3, 6, and 9, but the power description just says they get two more hit dice every three levels. I'm guessing they get their 3 six hit die shadows at level 9, but I'm not sure. |
| Reldo04-29-06, 01:26 PM | According to the epic level handbook and DM's Guide a shadow dancer can summon one additional shadow every 3 levels after 3rd and also every 3 levels after 3rd all of her shadow companions HD increase by 2. Note that the Dm's Guide does'nt say you get an additional shadow every 3 levels after 3rd but on the "Special" column on the level progression chart "Summon shadow" appears on both sixth and ninth level meaning that you can summon additional shadows at those levels. Also, in the epic lvl handbook it says that a 12th level shadow dancer would alredy have 4 companions with 8 HD each, so it never actually says you get another shadow every 3 levels in the DM's guide, but you actually do. Hope this helps! :D |

So it'll probably come down to how each DM decides to go with it.. at least until/unless there's some errata about it.... |

Thanks for the advice. I'll rule they get their extra shadows in my game world. |
