A question about socerer and wizard's familiar [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-12-06, 01:38 PM Both the 1st level of socerer and wizard have the ability to summon familiar. So what will be happened if I take 1 socerer 1 wizard? Will I get 2 familiar from 2 different source, or I can get only 1 familiar, considering that I am just a 2 socerer?

07-12-06, 01:41 PM Though a Sorc/Wiz is likely to be a profoundly underpowered and inefficient character, the familiar progressions do stack, so you have 1 familiar with the abilities apropriate to your total sorc + wiz levels.

I had a gestalt game where I was a wizard/sorcerer, and the DM let me just get the Improved Familiar feat out of it. Maybe that would be an idea?
