The text says that when no withheld maneuver can be granted, all expended maneuvers are recovered and a new pair of maneuvers are granted, begining a new cycle. Does this happen even if the crusader did not expend all of his granted maneuvers? Tell me if my exmplae if correct. Let's say that a crusader has 5 maneuvers ready. We will call them M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5. At the start at the encounter, two maneuvers are granted randomly : M3 and M5. Round 1 : M3 and M5 are granted. M1, M2, M4 are witheld. The Crusader uses M3 which is expended. End of Round 1 : M1 is granted. Round 2 : M5 and M1 are available. M3 is still expanded. The Crusader uses M1. End of Round 2 : M4 is granted. Round 3 : M5 and M4 are available. M3 and M1 are expended. The Crusader doesn't use any maneuver this round. End of Round 3 : M2 is granted. Round 4 : M5, M4 and M2 are available. M3 and M1 are expended. No withheld maneuver remain. The Crusader uses M5. End of Round 4 : No withheld maneuver remained. All expended maneuvers (M3 and M1) are recovered. This is where I have a problem. At this point you're supposed to be granted two maneuvers. Does that mean that all of the maneuvrs are reshuffled (even the not used ones)? And if so, then you have only two maneuvers available? That would mean that at the end of each 4th round, all of the maneuvers are reshuffled and two are randomly granted for the cycle to begin again? Thanks for any answer to clarify this. |

So at the end of the round, since there are no more withheld maneuvers, M1, M3 and M5 are recovered and two are selected randomly to be granted to the Crusader while the third is withheld. M2 and M4 are still granted since they were not yet used. So, indeed you can arrive to a point where you only use one maneuver all the time and have it recovered at the end of each round. Tricky indeed. |
