darkbourne 06-02-06, 01:22 PM	do you still get the feat every 3 lvls or do you get the feats listed on the monster classes? exsample astral deva get a feat at lvl 1,3,7 and 19.
Crimson_Concerto 06-02-06, 01:29 PM	The savage Species progress tells you when you get your feats, because sometimes when you go up a "level" in those, you'r not going up an HD, so it tells you when your at an HD where you get a feat. In other words, yeah, your astral deva only gets its feats for level up when the class tells you it does, because astral devas reach their 6th HD at their 7th "level" and their 9th HF at their 19th "level." I am, of course, assumign you told me the correct levels it says astral devas get those feats. That seems somewhat off, if memory serves, but oh well...

Cainin 06-02-06, 02:22 PM	Please note that in the 3.5 MM I "Advancing" rules section, they did change some of the Savage Species rules. While you used to get feat based on your Hit Dice, racial HD and class HD didn't stack for the purposes of gaining feats or stat increases. As per the 3.5 rules, your HD does stack for feats and stats. This means that you even get your every 4th HD stat bumps while playing something like a monster HD dragon. As to the gestalt things, I've got no clue. Never seen that rules set ever used before. After seeing it in Unearthed Arcana, it was politely ignored by our group.
