how do you control them???... how many invocations does it have at 20 level????... how often they can cast spells???...

I mean I read their entry in the Complete arcane and now I'm crazy... I mean I can't understand anything about how many times they can cast an invocation... any time they want????

4 Invocations total, 1 Least, 1 Least or Lesser, 1 Least or Lesser or Greater and 1 Least, Lesser, Greater or Dark.

Yes, they can cast them as many times as they like with no limit.

As for controlling them, not sure what you mean here, but Invocations are subject to Arcane Spell Failure (in any armor heavier than light) and AoO's just as spell's are, and SR applies to them unless an Invocation specifically states it does not.

Hope that helps.

The total number of invocations a Warlock has is listed on the table in the book. I believe they have a total of 12 at 20th level. 3 Least, 3 Lesser, 3 Greater, and 3 Dark.

an invocation is a spell-like ability that can be used, usually as a standard action, at will. The nomber of invocations they know is of course, thus very limited. A Sorcerer likly knows MANY more spells then a warlock has Invocations, he just can't use them as often.

As for 'controling' warlocks, that is an issue. Since they never run out of steam, they can hurl an Eldritch Blast every round without worrying about it, as long as they are at a distance where they wont provoke attacks of opportunity, or other such. Warlocks can't be worn down with attrition like wizards or sorcerers can. Some folk believe they are overpowered because of this. I disagree. I feel that their limited selection of powers makes them, by necessity, rather specialized as mobile artilary platforms, at least as the easiest path to take. A sorcerer could do similar, assuming a low number of encounters per day, perhaps one or two. At higher levels, the versitility of other spellcasters makes them better in some ways than the Warlock, but the warlock still has incredible damage-dealing potential and the fact that he doesn't run out of uses becomes less important when your wizard can throw a dozen 1st level spells very day and not care ;)

WRONG! You get 3 of each kind, not 1. Just as shown in the table to the right of the regular table.
Edit: this is in response to the guy two posts up.

Wrong. They get 12 invocations. This is clearly stated in the 'invocations known' column of the warlock table in Complete Arcane. Where it says 'new invocation' on the special table is where you get new invocation levels available to you.

The warlock can use their invocations once per round as a standard action. As such, there is a limit to how many times they may be used. It is just a really really high one.

The rest of what you said is pretty accurate, though.
