No idea where i saw this. it is possible that i was seeing things. anyway has anybody heard of such or a similar thing. |

It may not be RAW (Rules As Written), but it could be from a non-WotC (Wizards of the Coast) publisher, or posted by a player as a house rule. Edit: put in explaination of abbreviations since you said you were a newbie. :) |

And it makes me cry, because this sort of ability makes just about no sense at all (and also unless done very very carefully is open to all sorts of exploitation). Get a +5 sword, and a collection of +1 with an ability. +1 vorpal, +1 flaming, +1 wounding, etc. If it's written really badly, there could be a collection of +1 ability daggers on the belt, and everything being applied to the +5 sword, giving you a +5 vorpal wounding flaming keen bane vs. 10 different things greatsword. Even if you had to wield the transfer-source while transferring, this could be fairly broken, drastically lowering the cost of powerful weapons. Edit: If I did see it, I probably saw it in one of the Mongoose Publishing books... Quintessential Fighter or some such. Those tended to be full of broken. |

Don't suppose that might be what you were thinking of.. |
