The only reason I could think of would be that Clerics get many more 'buff' spells than an Arcane caster. Then again, now that I remember Divine Power, such a choice in PrC might seem rather... pointless. |
| MinusInnocence03-17-04, 01:53 PM | Yeah, you'd be committing class-selection suicide. There are spells on the Cleric list that replace the minor benefits the Eldritch Knight provides, while the PrC negates the benefits of Turning and Spontaneous Curing (or their counterparts). Meanwhile, Wizards and Sorcerers are notoriously underpowered in martial combat, and the only thing they're giving up under normal 3.5 rules are some paltry class skills, the familiar, and the bonus feats (that's only the Wizard, too). |

Yeah, I kinda figured that out after a bit. Well then... can anyone point me to a good cleric prc for someone who wants to focus on getting more involved in the melee process/summoning? I was considering going for the Thamurtagist, any opinions or experiences with it? |
| TheMightyMcClaw03-17-04, 04:04 PM | The Hospitaler from DoF comes to mind. It gets full Spellcasting progression and a 1/1 BAB. I wonder how they pulled that off.... The Warpriest also could work, though it's more of a "leading troops into battle" type. |
