Shadow Knight
Good vs. Evil its every ware we look there is never a good without an equally evil counter part. Paladins are always looking for what good they can do the world fighting with great intensity on or off horse back ether in woods, planes, or out on the battle field. There counter part is the shadow knight fighting for and evil god or an overlord a shadow knight despises those seeking to do good and causes as much havoc and grief as he can during his travels.
Adventures: Shadow Knights take everything they do without a care in the world unless the task has bin placed before them by their god or an overlord. They are greedy and power hungry and will take out anyone who stands in their way of what they want. Bands of shadow knights combined with necromancers have the ability to lead devastating attacks onto cities leading hordes of mindless undead gifted to them from there god. They torture small town and out posts with unstopping undead attacks that live only to serve the commands of there masters which could care less on weather they are destroyed or not.
Characteristics: Devine power for an above source protects a shadow knight as long as he remains loyal to his god. With his god backing him up he soon becomes fearless and cocky ready to launch into battle with any foe eventually trying to start fights to fell the adrolin rush of striking someone down. They are always looking for the way to burn something down or terrorize some one or scare them to death finding great joy in others pain.
Alignment: A shadow knight must be Lawful Evil or Chaotic Evil and they loose there power if they turn from that alignment.
Religion: a Shadow knight does not need to devote himself to a single deity but often times serve a variety of deities in order to draw more power and confidence to himself. Many shadow knights follow Hextor or Talos gods of destruction and war.
Background: A shadow knight is for the more mentally insane or not quite right sometimes reacting completely irrationally or screaming at things that only he can see. Often times a child with a hard life turns to a shadow knight because the destroying of others is the only way to let out the pain. Shadow knights often times have a very haunting history that very few ever find out about and when bad memories come back up he often times will react with violence in order to take his mind off of the pain of his past.
Races: Humans are normally the race of choice for a shadow knight however a half elf or a dwarf or half orc often times chooses the path. Because elves are not as tough as other races they normally shy away but those who were kid napped or become power hungry or have decided to ally with there undead enemies often times have corrupt minds and try to hide them with evil deeds.
Other classes: Most shadow knights are loners but at times team up with others of his kind to help him build the undead army that he seeks to command, or he will team up with some one else who seeks power and money more then anything else, normally rogues or evil aligned clerics.

Class features:
All of the following are class features of the shadow knight.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Shadow Knights are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with all types of armor (heavy, medium, and light), and with shields (except tower shields).
Darkness of Heart: At 1st level, a shadow knight gains a bonus equal to his charisma bonus (if any) on all saving throws.
Detect Good: At will, a shadow knight can use the detect good, as a spell.
Overlords Blessing: At 2nd level a shadow knight gains immunity to all fear effects and mind controlling spells.
Harm Touch: Beginning at 2nd level, a shadow knight what a charisma score of 12 or higher can inflict wounds by touch. Each day he can inflict wounds equal to his Cha modifier times his level. For example a shadow knight of 10th level with a Cha modifier of +3 can deal 30 points of damage per day. A Shadow knight may choose to divide his damaging amount and not use it all up on just one target.
Alternatively, a shadow knight can use any or all of this damaging power to heal damage to undead creatures. Using harm touch requires a successful touch attack and doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity.
Disease Bolt: At 3rd level, a shadow knight can launch a ball of diseased slime at his opponent as a ranged touch attack. If he hits his target it works like a contagion spell. A shadow knight gains this ability 1/day at 3rd level and 2/day at 8th level, 3/day at 11th level, 4/day at 14th level and, 5/day at 19th level.
Smite Good: Starting at 4th level a shadow knight can use a smite good ability a number of times per day equal to ½ his Cha modifier rounded up. He must declare that he is making a smite attempt before he rolls his attack roll. He adds his Cha modifier to his attack roll (if any) and if he hits he adds his shadow knight level to his damage. For example a level 10 shadow knight with a long sword would deal 1-8+10 and add in his strength and any other magical effects.
Spells: Beginning at 4th level, a shadow knight gains the ability to cast a small number of divine spells. Which are drawn form the shadow knight list bellow. A shadow knight must choose his spells ahead of time. In order to cast a spell he must have a Wisdom score of at least 10+the spells level. The DC for a saving throw against a shadow knight is 10 + the spells level + the shadow knights Wisdom modifier. Form levels 1-3 a shadow knight has no caster level from 4-20 his caster level is ½ his class level.

Table 1-2

A shadow knights mount is superior to any other kind of mount and has special powers.

Level HD Armor Adj. Adj. Int. Special
5th -7th +2 +4 +1 6 Empathic link, improved evasion,
Shared Spells, Share Saving throws
8th -10th +4 +6 +2 7 Improved Speed
11th-14th +6 +8 +3 8 Command creatures of its kind
15th-20th +8 +10 +4 9 Spell resistance

Shadow knight’s mount basics: Use the base statistics for a creature of the mount’s kind, as given in the monster manual, but make changes to take into account the attributes and characteristics summarized on the table and described below.
Bonus HD: Extra eight-sided (d8) each of which gains a constitution modifier, as normal. A mounts BA bonus is equal to that of a cleric of the level equal to the mounts HD. A mount has good fort and good ref saves treat his level to the same level as his amount of HD. A mount gains feats and skill points the same as and advancing character only uses to HD to determine it.
Natural Armor Adj.: The number on the table is the improvement to the mount’s existing natural armor bonus. It represents the preternatural toughness of a shadow knight’s mount.
Str. Adj.: Add this figure to the mount’s strength score.
Int: The mount’s intelligence score.
Empathic Link: The shadow knight has and empathic link with her mount out to a distance of up to one mile The shadow knight cannot see through the mount’s eyes, but they can communicate empathically.
Improved Evasion: The shadow knight’s mount gains the improved evasion ability.
Share Spells: At the shadow knight’s option, she may have any spell he casts on herself also on herself also effect his mount. The mount must be within 5ft at the time of casting to receive the benfit.
Share Saving Throws: For each of its saving throw, the mount uses its own base save bonus or the shadow knight’s, which ever is higher
Improved Speed: The mounts speed increases by 10ft.
Command: Once per day per two shadow knight levels of its master, a mount can use this ability to command other any normal animal of approximately the same kind as itself, as long as the target creature has fewer hit dice then the mount. This ability functions like the command spell, but the mount must make a DC 21 concentration check to succeed if it’s being ridden at the time. Each target may try a will save (DC 10+ ½ shadow knight’s level + his Cha modifier) to negate the effect.
Spell Resistance: A mount’s spell resistance equals its master’s shadow knight level +5. To affect the mount with a spell, the spell caster must get a result on a caster level check (1d20 + caster level; see Spell resistance, page 177 player hand book) that equals or exceeds the mount’s spell resistance.

Shadow Knight’s spell list:
1st level: bane, cause fear, curses water, doom, inflict light wounds, protection from good, ray of enfeeblement.
2nd level: bull’s strength, darkness, desecrate, shatter, undetectable alignment
3rd level: bestow Curse, blindness/deafness, deeper darkness, magic circle against good, vampiric touch
4th level: death word, dispel good, fear, inflict serious wounds, poison, unholy sword.

It looks pretty good in terms of flavor. The first thing I noticed, though, is that the post is somewhat hard to read; if you've got some time, you could put the titles in bold or code your table, but even putting some space between each heading (such as adventures, role, etc.) would make things seem less cluttered. It's nitpicky, I know, but it makes it a lot more friendly to the casual reader.

I would change their alignment from "lawful evil or lawful chaotic" to "any evil," like the blackguard; it makes more sense and is a bit more player-friendly.

I do have one question: was this class designed with 3.0 or 3.5 rules in mind? I'm asking this because I noticed that they get to add their Charisma bonus to saving throws at first level like the 3.0 paladin, which they changed in 3.5. As it stands right now, it's just too tempting to take either one level of this class to get Darkness of Heart or two to get Overlord's Blessing. You might want to change the order that you get some of these abilities, and possiby split Overlord's Blessing into two separate abilities (giving them the immunity to mind control later).

Taking a look over the other abilities, I'd recommend changing the smite good ability to being based on a limited number of times per day rather than being based on your Charisma modifier (it's how it's done with the paladin, blackguard, and others). You might want to take a look at how the 3.5 paladin is done; they get smite evil 1/day at 1st level, then one extra attempt at 5th and every five levels afterward (if you're already playing 3.5, then I'm sorry for preaching to the converted. ;) ), and also at how the disease bolt progression moves with it.

Overall, the class has some potential. Coincidentally, I came out with a shadowknight class right around the same time that you did: you can take a look at it here, if you'd like:

Good luck! :)

Yea i play with the 3.5 rules and i forgot to mention that if you leave the evil alnignment then you loose your abilities form that of a shadowknight. So if you want to just get the first abilites then ok but you got to be evil and want to stay evil. thanx a lot for the reply back and i was going to do the smite like a pally but however my shadow knight gets the frightful presence and fear aura along with then undead commanding abilities. So i wanted to give him less smites so thats y i did that. I was allready considering changing the allingnment to any evil and i think i will and i am sorry about the reading trouble my computer is stupid and said that it was in bold and when i posted it went away and i was all mad. hahahah ty very much and i will talk a look at your also.
