Neconilis 09-03-04, 04:46 AM	Since the search is down for the moment I'm asking this question here and hoping for a quick answer as I know it must have been asked and answered numerous times before. Anyway, what happens when an individual no longer qualifies for a prestige class? I.E. I have a dwarven defender in the party who is no longer lawful in alignment. If you could tell me and point me in the direction of an answer (offical hopefully) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.
Archangel 09-03-04, 06:39 AM	You lose prestige class abilities. All you keep are saves, BAB and HP. I don't have a link but I believe it is in a FAQ!

It never really made sense to me why they lose abilities and can no longer advance in the PrC, but it is a balance issue.
Neconilis 09-03-04, 04:19 PM	Thanks for the help again, I knew I remembered seeing it somewhere but I just couldn't remember where. Using what it says in Complete Warrior however would he still be able to advance in said class even though he was now recieving greatly reduced benefits from it? (Assuming that the player wanted to of course, in hopes they would once again meet the requirements.)

Neconilis 09-04-04, 05:37 PM	I have no idea how I managed to skip over that part yet read the following part perfectly. Thanks for the help Egres. I was also wondering however, as per what it states in the CW, would a character with a spellcasting prestige class which adds to a previous spellcasting class now lose those additonal spellcasting levels if they were to fail to meet the requirements of said prestige class? The rules would seem to say yes, and I have no problem with saying that as well, I just want to make sure that I haven't missed anything in case this comes up again in the future for a different class.
