I wanted to ask you, does smite evil in its current format good enough?
I mean, for a main feature of the class, one attack per day?
The problam I have is that at 16th level, with four smites, the paladin deals up to 64 additional damage with attack that may not, though probably will, hit.
I tought it is a good Idea to let the Paladin smite at all attacks on a full attack with a feat, maybe.
I alwayes tought a paladin doesnt deal that much damage,so smiting with fool attack, with the required feat, isnt so unbalnced.

There was a feat called Full Smite that allowed just that, all of the Paladin's attacks for the round were treated as a single smite attempt, IIRC. I believe it was printed in a Dragon magazine, although I cannot remember which issue. It was an Epic Feat, though.

I personally don't think that Paladin's should get more smites. I currently DM a player who has a 15th level Paladin of St. Cuthbert who has taken the Extra Smiting feat twice, and he does plenty of damage...
