I'm creating a druid using the v3.5 Quenisential guide and the v3.0 PHB.

One thing that has me confused is the seamingly new rules to the wild shape. The v3.0 PHB sugest that you can maintain animal form for an unlimited time but only one from can be assumed per size class (1 tiny to med, 1 large, ect.) and the 3.5 rules look to have made it 1 hour per druid lvl and no set animal form.

Can someone confirm or deni my assumption? I don't really want to go out and buy a v3.5 PHB, I'm some what broke ATM. I would have the first Quenisential guide but Amazon does not seam them directly.

Ummm... Sorry I ment to be asking if you pick one animal form like in 3.5 like it was worded in 3.0 or do you get to assume any form as long as you have a wild shape left that day.

The ability references polymorph spell with the exceptions listed in the wildshape description and it is a spell-like ability in 3.0. polymorph last 1 hour/level.

The wildshape ability 3.0 and 3.5 also explictly say you may only adopt one form and it ends when you return to your normal form.

If you wildshape into a dog, it costs of your daily uses and lasts up to 1 hour/level. You can not change into another animal during that time using the same usage. If you return to humaniod form the use ends. If you wish to change from a dog to a bear, you would need to use another of your daily wildshape uses and the clock starts again.

In 3.0, as a spell-like ability, the ability can be dispelled and does not function in an anti-magic zone.

Ok, It was my assumption that you pick one animal at the time you gain wild shape and that was the only animal that you could ever polymorph into. Say I pick a dog at lvl 5, I thought I was stuck with that animal til that character died.
