Greetings all im new to the forums and been playing D&D with some college friends for about 2 years now. I was wondering if anyone Ever made a summoner class, a class that relies mostly on the summon monster spells to summon creatures for combat and such. If anyone knows of a summoner class please post a link to the resources so i can check it out. or feel free to post question on what i want to know because there is quite a few things im not sure i understand quite yet :) thanks ahead of time!

I've certainly given it some thought, but have been mostly satisfied with what you can throw together with a Druid/Wizard/Arcane Heirophant. With feats like Augment Summon and Greenbond Summon you can make some rather incredible creatures.

The Summoner is one of the most often created PrC-Concepts, I have made one myself, through the main point was to focus on the animal companion or familiar, (like in the game "Summoner").

One point I experienced is, that a summoning-focussed caster is very anoying for the dm ... well, I should have told him to make NPC-sheeds for all possible summons and handle them himself, then maybe it does not.
