A tough decision [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-30-07, 09:53 PM Every time I create a new character I am faced with the decision of class. I love wizards, and fighters. I know you can get a cleric (Correct me if I'm wrong.) so you can get like a mix of the two, but the clerics lack the charm of both types of classes.

So which class would you choose? Fighter, Barbarian etc.

In regards to your question, have you never heard of multi classing? which version of the game do you play, exactly?

06-30-07, 11:47 PM Well, personally, I can play any class reasonably well, though I have a few that just don't interest me ... so, usually, I wait to see what everybody else wants to play then pick a style that fills a gap in the party's needs.

Why not have both? Play a gish :P.

Is the easiest gish if you want a fighter and wizard (I.E Battlefield control + Melee monster.)

07-01-07, 12:09 AM PHB II has a duskblade. It is sort of a single-classed Wizard/Fighter, and thus might give you the best of both worlds.
