| Izzak10-08-05, 09:26 PM | Im trying to make a good Undead destroyer and im so far making a human cleric with the glory and sun domains with empower and improved turning and the extra turning at 3rd but after that im kinda out of ideas . Does anyone have any advice on how to make my guy better at destroying the undead |
| realbombchu10-08-05, 09:46 PM | A phylactery of undead turning? I'm not very good at stuff like this, but I would give him one if turning is his forte. |
| runestar10-08-05, 10:22 PM | Try the morninglord of lathander prc from PGTF. |
| TheCarrionCrawler10-08-05, 10:27 PM | Hunter of the Dead PrC from Complete Warrior |
| syrinth10-08-05, 10:46 PM | Bah, a good class but the final ability just ruins every single cool thing about vampires and liches. Personally I've disallowed that ability and instead made it extend the amount of time it takes for the creature to regenerate. As for additional undead slayage: - Phylactery of Undead Turning (as mentioned above) - Extra Turning could probably help - A Bane Undead/Holy weapon when cash provides - Quicken Turning feat from Libris Mortis - Actually, hella lot of feats from LM lol |
| Izzak10-09-05, 03:34 PM | Can you show me the Moring Lord of Lathander the Hunter of the Dead is pretty cool too im not sure of the Phylactery of Undead turning ive never heard of it before. I forgot about undead bane and holy weapons thanks |
| Rulebook10-09-05, 05:17 PM | no we cannot show the mornignlord to you. its in a forgotten realms book (Players Guide to Faerun) and is thus too copyright for posting or linking to such stuff here. |
| Arkonth10-09-05, 10:07 PM | What your after is the Radiant Servant of Pelor prestige class from the Complete Divine. Basically you get regualr turning, plus greater truning plus enchanced healing plus oodles of other stuff and full cleric casting. Or if oyu want to goa completely different route, the Master of Radiance could also be fun. That class can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20041001a&page=2 |
| JonnySpaz10-09-05, 10:23 PM | Hunter of the Dead PrC is the best way to take out Liches and Vampires. Radiant Servant of Pelor is the penultimate for just eradicating huge swaths of undead in a single turning check. Your domain choices are perfect. Glory and Sun are the best. Additional feats: empower turning (libris mortis), exalted turning(book of exalted deeds), wand strike(complete arcane) Exalted Turning is sweet for regular turning because it deals 3d6 damage to all turned undead. Using a wand of cure critical wounds as a weapon is funtastic. |
| Fayle10-10-05, 03:42 AM | Like others have said, Hunter of the Dead is a good PrC, but so is Master of Radiance from LM. In fact, I think you could get all you needed from that book. It's got so much to offer. |
| gorfnad the shiznit10-10-05, 04:16 AM | Or if you really want to nerf the crap out of it, here is a holy squirt gun Items needed: 1 decanter of endless water - 9000gp 1 straw of continious effect bless water - varies depending on system used, either 8000gp or 24000gp 1 application of sovereign glue - 2400gp Set-up: Sovereign glue straw of bless water inside of the decanter. Aim at undead and set decanter to geyser mode. Damage: 1 flask (pint) of holy water deals 2d4 damage to undead or evil outsiders 8 pints in one gallon Geyser mode is 30 gallons per round in a 20ft line 2d4 x 8 x 30 = 480d4 points of damage to undead or evil outsiders Now the only problem is you'll get one shot out of this thing before your dm bans it from the game. Other than that I would say Radiant Servant of Pelor is a much more realistic route. |
| Rhadamanthus10-10-05, 12:11 PM | If I were you, I'd go Sacred Purifier from Libris Mortis. Good for a cleric or cleric-ish undead slayer. Even if you're a high level paladin, it's only a five-level class, you could just tack it on to whatever. |
| TheCarrionCrawler10-10-05, 04:28 PM | Libris Mortis is your friend. There are some good feats, spells and magic items in it for all your undead destroying needs. Also, Dragon magazine #324 has some more non-magical items in it. Check out the mummy mites! |
