Abjurant Champion question. [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-13-06, 04:16 PM The Abjurant Champion PrC out of Complete Mage has an ability that adds +Class Level to any Abjuration that gives an armor or shield bonus. They then go on to mention that an Abjurant Champion relies on spells like Mage Armor and Shield for their defense. However, Mage Armor isn't an abjuration, it's a conjuration. Has anyone found out if the ability should work on Conjurations as well or if the flavor text was just not meant to correspond?

There are no spells at least in the PhB which are abjuration and give an Armor Bonus.

10-13-06, 05:20 PM its more of them forgetting mage armor is conjuration and not abjuration ( a little silly)

I would allow it to work for any of those spells which are fairly obviously protective liek that

10-13-06, 05:49 PM Huh, I didnt notice that either, but i like the class alot. A Sorcerer can take it at level 10 if they choose the Stallwart Sorcerer option from the same book, or go Battle Sorcerer. +18 AC in a round is a bit much tho from two 1st level spells.
