Does the Abjurant Champion's (Complete Mage) "abjurant armor" ability apply to the "Shield" spell?

It doesn't work with mage armor since it is conjuration, and I think the shield spell gives a shield bonus, not an armor bonus. If not, I can't find a single spell with which this ability would be useful.

It works with Shield and unless your resources are vast that could be the ONLY spell it works with. Of course if it only works with this one spell it goes a looong way towards preventing what some may call a highly abusable class feature.

As a house rule I'd like the abjurant armor ability applied to all spells that provide an Armor or Shield bonus to AC as their primary function. They may not all belong to the Abjuration school but that is were they belong thematically.

Ok, thank you for clarifying. I am away from my books and I seemed to remember the ability only working with spells that give an armor bonus. Glad to hear I was wrong though =)

So it was armor or shield bonus.
