OK, I have this question about shifter for a long time. The rulebook (3.0) says that when the shifter turns into a specific form, it does not gain the new form's special ability (such as level drain, dragon breath, etc.)

Does that mean if you turn into a FIRE ELEMENTAL, and the enemies cast a FIREBALL on you, you CAN be killed by a FIREBALL?

If you turn into a wraith, since you are unable to LEVEL-DRAIN enemies, and YOUR BASIC ATTACK is LEVEL-DRAIN, you basically have no ATTACK ROLLS... Therefore you float and float (unless you have a ghost-touch weapon)

Also, the rulebook says that the PCs keep their BASE ATTACK when they turn into a specific form, while they use the specific form's attack manner.... So, doesn't that mean if you turn into a 12-headed hydra, you would have... 12 X Number of Attack Bonus??? If you turn into a dragon, you would get (claw X 2 + Bite X1 < + wing slap + tail slash, etc.>) X Number of Attack Bonus???

The question about equiptment is that if my character turns into a wraith, wears a ghost-touch armor, can a Brilliant Weapon wound me??? If my PC is a normal living, and wears a ghost-touch armor, can a Brilliant Weapong hurt me????

Those questions just drained my brain :b: :behold: Hope someone will be able to answer them :)

A fire elemental's fire immunity is a function of it's subtype. If you gain the subtype, you gain the immunity (and corresponding cold vulnerability). If you don't, you don't.

A wraiths level drain is a supernatural ability, if you gain those, you gain the level drain. If you don't, you don't.

Natural attacks do not gain itterative attacks (otherwise dragons would get a ridiculous attacks). If you have a BAB of +11 (standard iteration +11/+6/+1) and become a five-headed hydra, you get five bites at +11 each, not 5 x +11, 5 x +6, 5 x +1.

Yes, that seriously restricts what types of creatures you can turn into and still be useful. The trick of the shifter is to turn into ANYTHING. Guess what, it never said every form would be useful.
