| Kermez11-01-03, 01:59 PM | Acolyte of the Fist by Monte Cook (as adapted to v.3.5 and epic levels) Except as detailed below, refer to from Dragon 296 (June 2002), pages 72-73: 1st Fistof speed (1/day), monk abilities 2nd Evasion, fist of iron, fist of speed (2/day) 3rd Fist of speed (3/day), ki strike (magic) 4th Fist of destruction, fist of speed (4/day) 5th Fist of mercy (2/day), fist of speed (5/day) 6th Fist of mercy (3/day), fist of speed (6/day), improved evasion 7th Fist of fury, fist of speed (7/day), improved critical (unarmed strike) 8th Fist of mercy (4/day), fist of speed (8/day) 9th Fist of power, fist of speed (9/day) 10th Fist of energy, fist of mercy (5/day), fist of speed (10/day) Monk Abilities: An acolyte of the fist has the fast movement, flurry of blows, and unarmed strike (including damage) of a monk with as many levels as his acolyte of the fist levels plus his monk levels. Fist of Speed (Su): Once per day for each level of the Order of the Fist he has achieved, an acolyte of the fist can act as hasted on his turn. Using this ability is a free action. Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level, an acolyte of the fist can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If he makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, he instead takes no damage. Evasion can only be used if the acolyte of the fist is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless acolyte of the fist (such as one who is unconscious or paralyzed) does not gain the benefit of evasion. Ki Strike (Su): At 3rd level, an acolyte of the fist’s unarmed attacks are empowered with ki. His unarmed attacks are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of dealing damage to creatures with damage reduction. If the acolyte of the fist already has ki strike from another class feature, his levels stack to determine the ki strike ability. Improved Evasion (Ex): At 6th level, the acolyte of the fist’s evasion ability improves. He still takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against applicable attacks, but henceforth he only takes half damage on a failed save. A helpless acolyte of the fist (such as one who is unconscious or paralyzed) does not gain the benefit of improved evasion. The Epic Acolyte of the Fist 11th Fist of speed (11/day) 12th Fist of mercy (6/day), fist of speed (12/day) 13th Fist of speed (13/day) 14th Fist of mercy (7/day), fist of speed (14/day) 15th Bonus feat, fist of speed (15/day) 16th Fist of mercy (8/day), fist of speed (16/day) 17th Fist of speed (17/day) 18th Fist of mercy (9/day), fist of speed (18/day) 19th Fist of speed (19/day) 20th Bonus feat, fist of mercy (10/day), fist of speed (20/day) Monk Abilities: An epic acolyte of the fist has the fast movement, flurry of blows, and unarmed strike (including damage) of a monk with as many levels as his acolyte of the fist levels plus his monk levels. Fist of Destruction (Ex): An epic acolyte of the fist subtracts his acolyte of the fist class levels from the hardness of the object, as normal. Fist of Mercy (Su): An epic acolyte of the fist can strike himself or another and heal the amount of damage he would normally inflict, using his Wisdom modifier instead of his Strength modifier to determine the amount of damage healed, once per day for every two acolyte of the fist class levels he has, as normal. Fist of Speed (Su): An epic acolyte of the fist can act as hasted on his turn once per day for each level of the Order of the Fist he has achieved, as normal. Bonus Feats: The Epic Acolyte of the Fist gains a bonus feat every 5 levels after 10th (15th, 20th, 25th, etc.). These bonus feats must be chosen from the following list: Armor Skin, Blinding Speed, Epic Prowess, Epic Speed, Epic Toughness, Fast Healing, Improved Combat Reflexes, Improved Ki Strike, Keen Strike, Legendary Climber, Legendary Leaper, Legendary Wrestler, Righteous Strike, Self-Concealment, Shattering Strike, Vorpal Strike. v.3.5 Conversion Notes: Unarmed Damage and Fast Movement / Unarmored Speed were removed and replaced with Monk Abilities. Leap of the Clouds was removed completely. Ki Strike and Evasion / Improved Evasion were altered. I based the epic progression off of the monk's. Comments? Suggestions? |
