| Heatseeker08-08-06, 01:40 AM | Hi. Heatseeker here. To get to the point. I like Acolyte's of the skin. I really do. i love them, in fact. But here's the problem: I don't like the fact that one of their presiquites is that they have to be any nongood. I was just wondering: Are there any good loopholes so I can be an acolyte and still have a good alignment, such as neutral good (My personal favorite) or chaotic good? One last bit here: I keep hearing of these tests that tell you the best class and race for you. if anyone knows and is willing to tell me where you can find this test, i'd really like to take it. As a reward, i'll give you absolutely nothing. Sounds enticng, no? |

Or chat to your DM and ask..... But otherwise... if it says "non-good" then that means "any non-good".... Butyou do have some choice...... "Non-Good" Lawful Neutral, “Judge” Neutral, “Undecided” Chaotic Neutral, “Free Spirit” "Out right Evil" Lawful Evil, “Dominator” Neutral Evil, “Malefactor” Chaotic Evil, “Destroyer" GL.. |
| CzarGarrett08-08-06, 07:51 AM | Honestly, I think a class that can jump into people and burst out of them in a bloody mess and such abilities really isn't a 'good' class. And should not be a goal of any good characters. |
| Tevin Kevlak08-08-06, 11:26 AM | I think you're referring to the Blood Magus... the Acolyte of the Skin is completely different. |

I was just wondering: Are there any good loopholes so I can be an acolyte and still have a good alignment, such as neutral good (My personal favorite) or chaotic good? One trick would be to not take a fiend channeling/summoning class, and then want to be a good guy. |
| SoldierOfFortune18708-08-06, 12:14 PM | As stated above, its very easy to do an overhaul conversion of the class and make it celestial (not fiendish) friendly. Have it reflect a peaceful coexistence with a good outsider, who bonds with the character to better do good (rather than forceful binding the Acolyte undergoes). Change resistances from fire/ice to lightning/ice (perhaps), and maybe Remove Disease in place of Poison. Just do a 180º from the existing powers and show it to the DM. |

| Heatseeker08-08-06, 06:53 PM | Yeah, that was pretty bad. |
| Vestigial_Thumb08-08-06, 08:32 PM | When I make these kinds of decisions (whether to allow a deviation in a PrC), I look at where the class gets its powers. The AotS gets his powers without permission; he grants it to himself. I could see a CG AotS, even a NG or LG one, with some brainstorming. I'd allow a removal of the alignment restriction. |
