I wanted to build a swordsage who wields eagle's claws from the Sandstorm book. Since they seem similar to a real-world kerambit I figured they'd be perfect for the Tiger Claw discipline. I haven't checked with my DM yet, but what would you guys think? |

But if you're playing a swordsage there is really no reason to use any weapon that isn't in one of your disciplines because of the first level weapon focus. To clarify: Is it okay to add weapons to the various disciplines' lists of favored weapons? If, for example, you were running a Japanese-themed game would you be justified in adding kusari-gama to the Shadow Hand weapons? There are other examples, but I don't really think they're necessary. |
