Advanceing Prestige loosing Spells ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-18-06, 12:51 AM Im a little confused on when say a Sorcerer goes prestige early , and he goes into a prestige class that has + 1 level of existing class.

If the sorc had level 5 spells when he miutliclassed can he still get spells 6-9 with leveling in a prestige class.

12-18-06, 04:09 AM The "+1 to level of existing class" means he will cast spells as though he was a Sorcerer of that higher level. For instance, if a 10th level Sorcerer takes a Prestige Class that has that ability on every level, for 10 levels, the Sorcerer will end up casting spells as though he was a 20th level Sorcerer. This includes spells known and spells per day, as well as spell levels.
