We are considering playing a one shot through "Expedition to Ravenloft" using 3.5 rules. I have agreed to sit in on this and our colletive intent is to make this a "beer and pretzels" power gaming session.

Thr problem is that beause I am new to 3.5, I have NO idea what a good character for this might be.

So I am looking for suggestions for a Min/Maxed 8th level character, keeping in mind our destination. Moreover, different is good, in that I personally appreciate "non standard" concepts. Example, an Outsider Sorcerror with a rare but powerful Prestige class mixed in would be more fun than a vanilla straight human paladin.

Also, for the most part, most books are available for us to use, so be relatively liberal in your source material.

Thanks in advance. Also, apologies if this is int he wrong place, is not appropriate for the boards, or otherwise offends anyone's sensibilities.

If you want power play Pun Pun.

Want do you want to play? I you dont know try the character development boards.

If you have an idea of what you want to play then try the character optimization boards.

Play a druid, cleric or wizard.
They are considered the most powerful classes.

The real question is what kind of character do you want to play? What (tactical) role would you like to take?

Without something basic like that, you're not going to get much that's helpful.
