Koga:The ninja trick 04-05-05, 11:51 AM	The Koga has made it The Koga's mission to make all the classes fair and balanced, The Koga has tried tweaking the classes but to no avail, though multi-classing/prestigous classes are banned, it doesn't stop the arguments. So The Koga just sprouted a blossom of an idea that you may want to try and apply to your games, it's a little "out there", but no good expirmenet was created unless risks were taken. :) The Koga presents to you.. "Where's the cream filling?" By this I mean no core-classes! (Psionics are still okay I guess..) Think about it, without core-classes the level of magick is decresed and no class is really all that much stronger or weaker then another unless you were to actually sit down and compare each possible scenario. Sorcerer? Pick a warmage or warlock, this is what the sorcerer bassicaly becomes and is done much-much better. And then there's it psi counterpart psion. Wizard? Fideleh is a fun class in The Koga's opinion and if you're willing to go "psychic" try an eruidite. Bard? Okay, the bard is lacking now, but noone really likes the bard anyway lol. But there's still may of jack of all trades like psychic rogue and spell theif. Rogue? Scouts and ninja looks like a feesible replacment. Ranger? If you're familiar with Dr@gon you'd seriously want to try some of the "alternate styles" like throwing, strong-arm, polearm, or beast wrestler. The Wild Monk pwns the monk. Paladins can now be less stereotypical with the wild defender. Fighters? HAH! Now we got thane and samurai! There's a defensive version of the barbarian called Inplacable. And you replace the unlimited natural army of the druid with the ability to cast bolts of lightning and strike fear into the hearts of predators with "storm druid". Now The Koga doesn't really know how "balanced" this would be as I havn't actually TRIED it yet.. but without the core medium to use as a comparison, the fun alternate class forms would more the readily keep all the players and dm alike happy and playing. : )
