Alignment in PrCs [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-27-06, 12:46 AM I'm working on a character. Paladin 5 / Cavalier 10 / Blackguard 3. Cavalier states I have to be lawful to enter the PrC, but nothing about afterwards like paladin does. Does that mean I can become CE, or do I lose 10 levels of abilities?

Anytime your alignment changes from the required you loose all (SU) and (SP) abilities of that class, and cannot continue advancing unless otherwise stated...
It's kinda obvious.

07-27-06, 01:00 AM But all but the Special Mount abilities are EX. And since I'm a blackguard, that'd be gone anyways. So am I good to go?

In the case of the Paladin you loose every single class feature besides BAB, Saves, and Armor Proficentcy, as for the cavilier, I'm not sure.

07-27-06, 01:08 AM The cavalier Special Mount ability simply states that its levels stack with paladin, not that they get the abilities out of nowhere. But since paladin abilities are rather dead, it's no problem.
