For the most part or DM doesnt want us making out of control templates that end up better than the base classes. For example, hes not going to allow whatever our final build is to have 9th divine and 9th arcane casting. Whatever we choose cant perfectly mimic multiple base classes. This is besides the point though. I'm making a halfling dagger master that should end up being pretty effective in the long run. For starters though I'm trying to actually make him work class wise to build up to his higher tier levels. Ultimately this is what I've got so far: 1(+) Ninja ?(2 Ranger) ?(2 Fighter) 10 Whisperknife 5 The Invisible Blade I'm not 100% on if fighter and ranger are nescesary. I was going to do it 1 Rogue 4 fighter originally, which causes no problems but is less appropriate (IMO) for a whisperknife assassin-like character. Besides, with ninja instead of rogue I get that nice AC bonus for not wearing armor, which I wasnt going to do anyways. Its therefore nescesary to keep all the classes 2 or 1 to avoid xp penalty. My two questions are tied into the 4 class levels between ninja and whisperknife. Is there a better way to go about this build ? Maybe 2 Ninja 1 swashbuckler 2 fgt? In either case if I keep it the same is there any ability substitutions for rangers regarding favoured enemy (less worried about this) or wild empathy ? |
