I've seen the shifter from the PH2 and I think it's really cool, although I don't know what feats would be useful. This is kinda random cause I wasn't sure whether to post in feats or classes. I'd like to use like wild feats, kinda thing, but of course since the shifter doesn't have a amount of time or amount or times it can shift these aren't really fair. I was wondering if there are anything that help with the shifter ability, like give you more strength or something. I figure it substitutes for the animal companion and the wild shape, both of which have feats and things to help them, so I am simply wondering, after a paragraph of writing, what is there to help the shifter?

Hi...there's a prestige class called the Master of Many Forms, originally from Masters of the Wild but updated in Complete Adventurer. It eventually lets you become a shapeshifter subtype.

Arismir has a nifty, still in work, handbook here for teh Shapeshifter Varient from PHBII: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=650144 . but as to help the shifter... well that's really not all that hard. you change shapes as an immiate action, so you can bounce back and forth to cast and to fight. things to help are simple enough to come by, your typical caster gear for a Druid(prayer beads, specifically the bead of karma and an orange ion stone), wands and scrolls, weaponwise... all ya need is a good staff or club and maybe a sling to attack from a distance, and some feats to help improve combat, stuff like Imp. Toughness, Imp. Grapple, Imp. Nat. Attack: Slam, and a could of metamagic feats probably.
