I remember reading someplace that a ranger can swap out the weapon styles to gain fast movement and wild shape. But I'm confused. Can they use it right from level two, or do they need to wait untill they are the same level that a druid would get it? Also would this be a good idea if I was only dipping into ranger for 2 or 4 levels?

Thanks in advanced.

You would get Wildshape as a Druid, at the level it gets it, and the advancements it gets. Also the Movement Speed increases would be as a Barbarian gets those.

Since it works like that, I'd say it doesnt look like a good idea for a 2 or 4 level dip. Looks like something you'd wanna go long term Ranger with.

EDIT:: And the book is Unearthed Arcana, but all those are also in the d20SRD, I do believe.

Thanks. I guess I'll just take one level of ranger then (so my scout can get access to favored enemies) before combat trapsmith and highland stalker.

I was originaly going to try to make a melee TWF scout, but it eats alot of feats to pull it off, so I may just go with a two hander instead, I just need to find a melee weapon that fits a hunter type theme catfolk. Any ideas?
