Dr. Benway 06-30-07, 03:15 PM	Hey folks...need a hand real quick. My friends and I are remembering an alternate Ranger class feature that allows you to give up your animal companion and you get....? In Champions of Valor there is the Shooting Star ranger sub level that grants you an extra spell of each ranger spell level (when you gain normal access to them) for giving up your animal companion. In Complete Champion there is an alternate feature that grants you a spiritual guide. So long as you are in a natural area, it provides you a bonus equal to 1/4 your ranger level on Handle Animal, Know (Nature), Listen, Spot, Search, and Survival checks.
