| Keenath07-18-06, 07:08 PM | I'm looking at somewhat modifying turning to make it something useful even if you don't take divine feats, and possibly if you don't even fight undead. I mean, if you have a decent charisma, you couldn't possibly use up all your turns anyway. My idea is that turning is a conduit to showing the glory of your god, right? So make it work in other ways -- for example, use the usual rules for turning, but you can affect living creatures of opposed alignment -- they're shaken instead of being turned. (Chanelling positive affects evil creatures, and negative affects good creatures.) Alternatively, maybe affected undead are just stunned instead of being panicked; that'd be a better effect. Or a minor Prayer-like effect could be good, give a bonus to allies and a penalty to enemies. Any other ideas like that for modifying the turning system? |
