| TheDarkPrince09-02-07, 04:36 AM | I remember seeing them on the boards a couple of months (?) ago. There was an aberration variant, a fey variant, and I think a celestial (maybe not....) variant, all made by the same person. If anyone could provide me with a link, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks, Cheers! :D |

| Jaxgaret09-02-07, 07:12 PM | There's also a kind of draconic Warlock variant in Dragon Magic called the Dragonfire Adept. |
| Tedronai09-02-07, 09:04 PM | There's also a kind of draconic Warlock variant in Dragon Magic called the Dragonfire Adept. Not so much a variation of warlock as a class built on similar principles and sharing the invocation mechanic and damage progression (and much more subject to MAD, and nearly all damage being subject to a reflex save for half, with a limited capability to impose piddling conditions, also subject to a save) |

| LoneFlame09-03-07, 12:40 PM | The Dragon Fire Adept, while cool in premise, kinda sucks in practice. They've got less Invocations than the Warlock and their class features aren't that good(especially their DR). Despite being more physically resilient than the Warlock, the Dragon Fire Adept is far less useful on the battlefield or in general adventuring. |
| TheDarkPrince09-03-07, 03:07 PM | Thanks for the link. :D And now that we seem to be on the subject of other warlock variants...is Dragonfire Adept the only one? Thanks, Cheers! :D |

They get less general invocations, true... but don't forget they also gain blast shape and eldritch essence (or their versions of those for the breath weapon attacks) in ADDITION to their general invocations... so in the end, they may actualy come out AHEAD on total invocations. |

They actually come out exactly even. 4 Breath Effects + 8 Draconic Invocations = The Warlock's 12 Invocations. |
| Shadowhowler09-03-07, 05:51 PM | They actually come out exactly even. 4 Breath Effects + 8 Draconic Invocations = The Warlock's 12 Invocations. Fair enough. So they don't get 'less' invocations then a Warlock, they just get them split up FOR them... |
