How about a PrC that is ranger-like that could be adapted to a base class. What my player wants is an underground based hunter and I am trying to find a balanced and interesting options for him. in an e-mail he suggested... Eliminate: -fav enemysx4 -animal comp.(all) -Wild Empathy Gain: -Blindsight 30’ (range increases 4 times—whenever fav enemy is gained): 60, 90, 120, etc. Possible: -lose spells but not sure what to gain, so for now: keep spells as per rngr. Change: -Woodland Stride changes to all underdark terrain do you think this is balanced? it seems to me he is gimping himself... |

Here's my call: - Adapt the animal companion list, rather than eliminate it. Plenty of underdark critters to hook up with. - Lose Wild empathy for Blindsense (30' sounds good). - Woodland stride works on underdark stuff, but not aboveground. |
