I´m looking for a non-magic wielding alternative healerclass or prestigeclass, maybe a bit of the "sawing gangrenous legs of" type.
The character is going to be a lvl 1 gnome, alignment not set yet.

Anyone any ideas?

I played an Expert healer for sometime. He had skills like heal (of course), knowledge nature, profession herbalist, and my DM allowed me to use craft alchemy despite having no spellcasting levels. Very low powerwise but fun none-the-less. You could eventually take the exemplar PRC as well.

Expert healer as the DMG´s expert? And where did you find the Exemplar prc?

The Exemplar PrC is located in Complete Adventurer. It greatly boosts certain selected skills.

I say go for the Psion (Egotist) followed up by the Sanghirn prestige class that is on Mind's Eye. This doesn't compare to the Cleric w/ the Radiant Servant of Pelor, but I love psionics more than divine magic.
