| Deloraine05-10-05, 11:59 AM | Hi Guys As a general guide, how much magic should PC's have compared to the NPC equivalents? E.g. the DMG suggests that a 6th level NPC should have up to 6,500gp-worth of gear - should players expect to get 50% more - 100% more - evenmore than that? I would value your suggestions. |

| Thorak05-10-05, 12:04 PM | Table 5-1 in the DMG, page 135. Character wealth by level. This is the amount that a PC is assumed to have, per level, in a standard game. Any individual game can vary of course, but this is the average the game was playtested with and balanced around. 6th level PC; 13,000 gp. |

| Jell_Moo05-10-05, 12:36 PM | Is this in the new DMG as well? It's page 135 of the 3.5 DMG. It's page 145 of the 3.0 DMG. If you are talking about the DMG II, then I have absolutely no idea. ;) |
| Navar05-10-05, 12:48 PM | No, I ment 3.5 DMG. I have no idea about II either. |

As it turns out, my group have around 15,000gp each on average, but I think that the problem lies with this being concentrated in two or three main items (18,000gp+) with a few lesser items scattered around. Perhaps I should hold back on more major goodies for a while and let the players without much get few specifically targeted items. The Ranger/Scout is going to get the +1 sonic bow he has been hankering for!! |
