There is already such a variant in (IIRC) dragon 310. To my best knowledge he can smite creatures with extreme alightments (LG, LE, CG, CE).

Or you could give him the powered-down Smite from the Destruction domain (at least I think it's Destruction). That one's usable against any target.

I'd say Paladin of Harmony, if told to choose from those 2 names. Gemini implies something to do with either astrology or twins.

Also you should decide early on, since the class is based around neutrality, if you want it to be related to nature/druids/etc or not. If not, you should come up with some distinct flavor.

Yeah, a Paladin of Nature seems to be the natural progression for the concept, but that's already pretty much covered by the Ranger.

It could be a Paladin of a true neutral god, though. Or even a concept based off of a true neutral plane... can't remember any neutral planes right now...

Paladin of Truth?
Paladin of Ambivalence?

Aura of undetectable alignment?
Maybe exchange smiting for the ability to channel both positive and negative energy. (cure/inflict, cause/remove disease, turn/rebuke undead)

"All I know is my gut says maybe" president of the neutral planet

Good is often related to light while evil to darkness, so neutrality should be to .... shadow :).

No, probably not, but it would be cool to see a shadow paladin class.

Eh! Not true! Limbo is the only true neutral plane...but it is the death plane for neutral beings.

And also I think that harmony imply's balance and they do smiteeverything BUT they use one of thei abilities(Lay-on hands for instance) And if they heal the person they use only the good -aligned abilities, But if they harm them they use only the evil -aligned abilities.

And just so we are clear...Rangers and Paladins are created the same as Druids and Clerics....They are the same damn class but each with it's own little quirks.

Paladin of mediocre apathy?

What on earth would be the philosophy behind such a character? What would the code be? Decide duty and purpose and powers can follow on from that.

Paladin of Indecisiveness.

Give some sort of Confusion aura. (DC 10 + 1/2 class level + Cha Mod) Duration equal to time spent in aura + Cha Mod rounds.

Provide spellcasting, but rather than decide what spell gets cast, just provide different tables: Offensive, Defensive, Healing, Enhancing etc. When you cast a spell, you roll on the table, but you can alter the result of the roll by up to 1/4 of your class level.

Anyone trying to read your mind has to make a will save or be Confused.

Any attempts to use Sense Motive on you receive a penalty of 1/2 your class level.

Also, allow an ability similar to Rebuke Undead, but that only operates on Confused targets.

etc.

Could be interesting.

Again not true...Pull out your DMG and look up Limbo. It is a neutral plane of existance. And Again The paladin of harmony will be True neutral So he will keep the balance between good and evil and depending on how the player works may lean one way or the other, The serve a true neutral god, The make decisions based on balance. 1 vs 2 for instance he will team with the underdog BUT he does have a sense of loyalty to allies so he won't just up and leave the group to help a 2 kobolds fight your entire party. But again he is all about the balance of good and evil...also law and chaos but they aren't to adamant on that. They will only be able to use one alignments special abilities per day(Smite evil vs smite good and the such) So thus they are the scales of good and evil. Oh and the paladin of harmony has NOTHING to do with music and they can't take levels in bard. But a Paladin of Freedom can....

No... you look it up in your DMG "The Ever-Changing Chaos of Limbo" is a strongly chaos-aligned plane....
It's Kinda Obvious
