| eis_helm05-30-07, 12:20 AM | So, my friend is in the process of creating a Truenamer from Tome of Magic. Everything was fine until we found the restriction "Law of Resistance" which gives you the +2 on Truespeak checks everytime you successfully use an utterance. Question: Does this significantly underpower the class at lower levels? Has anybody run into any major problems with this class? Feedback on the class as a whole, inclduing feedback on my questions, would be phenomenal. Thanks. |

Pump that Truespeak score up as high as possible, or else they will have problems using their cornerstone ability effectively. The Truenamer Optimization Guide (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=614007) will help you with this. One thing to keep in mind is that a Truenamer does not precisely take the place of an arcanist in a party; they are more accurately described as a support, or 5th-wheel, type of class. |
