| guru789205-13-05, 03:13 AM | ok this is acually a very simple question to ask does a ranger5/druid5 have their animal companions treated sepratly (ie 2 companions with 5th lvl adjustments for druid, and a first lvl one from ranger) or do you pool them togather (ie 1 6th lvl companion)? the latter one seems correct/more balanced because 10th lvl chars fight cr10 monsters that are measured agains pcs with 10thlvl companions. but the other may be correct since sometimes you can have multiple companions and such. or maybe thats just 3.0... |
| dopp05-13-05, 04:09 AM | I would think that the ranger (counted half) and druid levels stack. I didn't find it explecitely written, but that seems the most logic. and in that case it would give you a 7th level comanion instead of a 6th level. |

The druid’s class levels stack with levels of any other classes that are entitled to an animal companion for the purpose of determining the companion’s abilities and the alternative lists available to the character. |
