| Fanged Fremont12-30-05, 05:06 PM | As an animal companion gains bonus hit die, does it's size increase? I haven't found anything the specifically says yes or no. The main reason for this question is that an urban ranger can only have an animal companion of up to medium size. It would kind of suck for him if his wolf buddy he's had from level 4 suddenly grew to big for him to keep. |
| Seerow12-30-05, 05:11 PM | I believe the FAQ states that animal companion size doesn't increase as HD is gained. This was a big thing with the supermount builds... imagine a Great Wyrm Gold Dragon as a mount for a 20th level character? Yeah, it stays at its original size. |
