Assuming I get a riding dog as both a mount and fellow companion is there anything to prevent me from: 1. Buying him some masterwork breastplate barding with masterwork armor spikes. Actually this is the easy part, nothing restricted about it, should be 900g (200x2 breastplate barding +150 masterwork armor +50 armor spikes +300 masterwork weapon). 2. Having him spend one of his feats gained through advancement on martial weapon proficiency: armor spikes. 3. Somehow getting him to use the spikes when needs be, particulary when making a full attack letting him do the armor spikes at 1xstr bonus and his bite as a secondary attack at -5 to hit and .5 str bonus.. Potential damage is better than his normal attacks, but its not quite optimal because if he uses the bite as a primary attack he gets 1.5x str and a much better chance to hit with the trip attack (trained for it). |
