I’m planning on being a Druid in the game, either a slave or prisoner. I later realized that there would be no way for me to gain my animal companion. I talked to my DM about a couple of different variant and he was open to the idea and liked one a lot. This is the basic lvl of the idea and we would like some ideas on use and limitation. I would perform a 24hr ritual similar to the normal druid and gain one companion. What is different is I will be able to summon that companion like a Summon Natures Allie. This would be done outside my normal daily spells. So here is where the question of limitations starts. Compared to a normal druids companion how could this work? 1 How long should I be able to keep the companion? 2 How often can I change the companion? 3 Should the ability be a Summon or a Calling? 4 How many times a day should I be able to use the ability? Other suggestion and comments welcome. Thanks DMB |
