I can not find anything saying that "non-intellegent beings are barred from taking certain skills" and the same with thought-provoking feats. Whatchall think? |

(I've looked) The Animal Companion does gain feats (For HD) and skill points, there is simply no stipulation as to how these are required to be spent. You are right to assume that any skill not listed under the animal's entry should be considered cross-class, and all Feats require the prerequisites to be met. Beyond that, you'll fully into a grey area. Some may say it's purely DM call, he chooses all feats and skills. Others will argue in support of your position, anything you can qualify for is legal, and the controlling character picks whatever he wants. Both sides have very valid arguments, as do some who may argue for a middle ground. You'll find no clear, RAW, ruling, nor likely even a consensus. |

Well if non-caster can take it, why can't you "train" (Meaning take a feat) that does the same thing. It'd be something that people would probably do to help in dealing with casters that focus on spells that effect humanoids |
