I have seen the list of more powerful companions available, but is the power- special animal companion ability tradeoff worth it? i know that at later levels, a t- rex by your side will probaly help a lot more than a hawk will (except in dungeons/ cities of course) but will the powers that is granted to the weaker ac'S (such as devotion, ec) make it worth looking after a riding dog for now? ? |
| NineInchNall02-19-07, 03:06 PM | Yes, the higher level animal companions are better by virtue of higher base stats, more attacks, more and better special attacks, more base hd, etc., etc. Just look at the fleshraker dinosaur in Monster Manual 3. |
