Sorry for starting a new thread instead of contributing to the other thread, but this is a slightly different approach.

As mentioned in the fighter's use magic thread, items are a major feature of the fighter.
So why not boost the fighter by giving them more items?
I see three approaches possible:

1) extra gp's linked to high hp.

2) extra gp's linked to BAB

3) major artifacts gained as a class feature.

And how do you justify this in-game? The wealth charts are DM guidelines for what is balanced at a given level, not an actual game mechanic. Standard wealth at a given level is really a meta-game concept, and this fix would be completely dependent on DM whim.

If you want to do something with items, give fighters a class-feature that makes items more potent when in the hands of a fighter than other classes.

1) so the barbarian and the warblade get even more gp?

2) All the melee good bab progression classes would benefit from this.

3) That's just Dm nerfing at a in your face to other players level.

Artifact Weapon (Db): At third level the Fighter gets an Artifact Weapon, this weapon can be found during the campaign or just drops from heaven when the fighter character reaches 3rd level. Every odd level the fighter discovers a new feature of the Artifact Weapon, this feature is made up by the DM on the fly, preferably during a combat.

Db: An ability noted with (Db) means that is completely based on DM bias.

umm...no that doesn't even make sense. Why does having higher hp give you more money (not to mention Toughness and Improved Toughness)?
As stated by others all the other class get more gold to with BAB.
Artifacts are supposed to be one of a kind important items not a class feature, why only the fighter is justified to get an artifact, every other class is just as deserving (excluding the NPC classes)

It was sarcasm... ... you know the joke, the artifact sword that every fighter should have... ... ... you do right?

I love this ability!

At level one, the fighter gains a pot. At each subsequent level, it fills with gold equal to 100gp x the fighter's level. If you lose your pot, you lose all class features until you get it back.

At level five, the fighter's size shrinks to small. Additionally, he must always wear green, shoes with buckles, and a tophat.

At level 7, the fighter gains Weapon Focus: Shileleigh

At level 9, the fighter's name becomes Patty McFinnigan

At level 11, the fighter gains Luck O' the Blarny, allowing him to re-roll a single roll once a day.

At level 12, the fighter adds Gaelic to his languages known

At level 14, the fighter must talk in an Irish accent.

At level 16, the fighter may wear an additional belt over top of whatever headgear he's wearing, provided that headgear is a tophat.

And, finally, at level 20, the fighter's type changes to Fey, their hair becomes red, they grow a beard, turn Chaotic, and develope an unhealthy obsession with Shamrocks.

...the gold just seemed to fit.

But in all seriousness...this doesn't really help at all.

Kind of hard to convey sarcasm with just type. maybe it needs an emoticon to go with it.
