| Aigol05-21-05, 02:10 PM | Do druids keep their own hp when changing into an animal and take all the animals stats. Or does the druid use the animals Hp |
| Jaid05-21-05, 02:22 PM | druids keep their own HP, however this is modified by the animal's constitution modifier (ie if you have con 10 and you wildshape into something with con 20, you get +5 hit points per HD) |
| PurdueDave05-21-05, 02:22 PM | Druids keep their HPs but he uses the animals CON modifier instead of his own. For example, druid lvl 5 with 12 CON has 33 hp (5 from CON 12 + 28 from rolls). The same druid wild shaped into an animal with a CON of 16 has (15 from CON of 16 + 28 from rolls) 43 hp. The druid can lose hp's because of a low CON in critter form as well but this should be pretty rare. Most critters have pretty good CONs. |
| Aigol05-21-05, 02:27 PM | Ok Thanks but do they keep their own BAB and saves or do they use thae animals |
| PurdueDave05-21-05, 02:28 PM | Keep their own but use the critter's ability scores for STR, DEX, and CON. Don't forget size and stuff like that. It's best to go ahead and figure out a few of the ones you'll want to wild-shape into ahead of time so you don't have to come up with this stuff in game. |
| Aigol05-30-05, 12:16 AM | Do you still get all your attacks or are you limited to what the animal has for natural weapons |
| Thorak05-30-05, 01:35 AM | Do you still get all your attacks or are you limited to what the animal has for natural weapons If you can't wield the weapon in animal form (which is true for pretty much every weapon, and almost every animal, apes and such being an exception), then it's merged into you and unuseable. And you use the critter's natural weapons. Even if you can wield it, as in the case of an ape, you combine it with natural weapons like any creature does. |
