| cthascott04-06-07, 02:35 PM | 2 extra missiles and the ability to change them into whatever kind of energy you want on the fly doesn't seem powerful enough? I always thought that it was a well built PrC. If it's not enough, I'd probably extand it to 10 levels and add 2 more missiles and make him able to maximize the damage a limited number of times a day. Peace. CthaS |
| quakemist04-06-07, 02:36 PM | Well, I mean, I like it a lot, I just want to know if anyone else does anything to make them different. |
| RainerNader04-06-07, 03:56 PM | I think there's a prestige class called "The Argent Hand" or something in the Complete Arcane... they're also based on mastery of force spells, although not magic missile in specific. You could make some sort of composite prestige class with that and the Force Missile Mage. Also, there are lots of "force missile" spells in the Spell Compendium and other books. You could have Force Missile Mage abilities apply to those spells as well. |
| cthascott04-06-07, 04:44 PM | The Argent Hand is great for a 1 level dip as it adds a +1 to each damage dice on force effects so each missile would be 1d4 + 2. Though that 1st level doesn't add to your arcane caster level. Abjurant Champion after that would be nice finished off with Archmage. Peace. CthaS |
| Lotus Crane04-07-07, 01:24 AM | We haven't actually had anybody play a Force Missile Mage yet, but because it looks like such a weak class on paper, a theoretical housefix would be to say that whenever applicable, the benefits of the FMM's abilities applies to all other force damage spells, such as force missile, chain missile, and force claw, rather than nothing but magic missile. |
