Any gods with the Spiked Chain as a favored weapon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-16-07, 09:00 PM I hope this is the right Forum for this question. Are their any Gods with the Spiked Chain as a Favored Weapon? If not, can my character not worship a specific god and have it as one?

07-16-07, 09:15 PM I seem to recall some deity having the spiked chain as a weapon, presumably an aberration god. I will see what I can find and pop back later.

07-16-07, 09:21 PM Scratch that, I was thinking of the Patient One but his is actually the light flail. Kossuth, however, does have the spiked chain as his favored weapon.

If you just want to take the war domain, you'd have to do some quick talking with the DM to get it. In our games, we kept it to the 5 weapons they described under the cleric spell that made a phantom version of the dieties weapon.

No, in all seriousness though, just taking the war domain and being a cleric of a cause instead of a god would work (as has been suggested). talk to your DM first of course.

07-16-07, 10:01 PM Just to point out the war domain only gives martial proficiency for a deities weapon, not exotic weapon proficiency.

07-18-07, 04:28 PM Dont remember the name but there is a god in sandstorm. his favored weapon is the spiked chain. that is about all I remember a friend of mine owns the book I will check with him.
