| windscar1805-25-07, 01:00 PM | True, but there are plenty of flurry of blow like abilities. Flurry of blows is essentially "Make an extra attack at a -2 penalty that gets slightly better, etc..." So, feats like snap kick, or two weapon fighting with the tempest PrC give similar things. |
| PBaka1306-07-07, 04:59 AM | The Monk of the enabled hand in the Dragon Magazine Compendium has flurry of blows and you dont have to be a monk to qualify but easier if you are |
| The_Shaman06-07-07, 05:14 AM | Well, 99% of the readings of Shou Disciple (UEast) would agree it improves flurry progression - or grants it. "Unarmed BAB" from 3.0 is synonymous with "flurry progression" in 3.5 lingo afaik. Also, the Sun Soul Monk (Waterdeep) improves flurry, as do the "OA update" versions of the Tattooed Monk, Shintao Monk and Heishin Mystic that appear in Dragon 318. However, I do not have the books with me at the moment, so I can't say if some of them don't require you to be a monk anyway - but I am pretty certain the Shintao Monk and the Heishin Mystic do. If you are a monk, these might be worth it, or, if you are LG, you could make the step to exalted and go for Initiate of Pistis Sophia. If not, SDisciple would probably be my best bet. |
| Lawkeeper06-07-07, 07:02 AM | One of the PrCs of Races of the Dragon gives flurry even if you didn't have it, IIRC. I forgot the name however, but it's something like Dragoneye Disciple. |
| The_Shaman06-07-07, 07:23 AM | Right, disciple of the eye. Also, iirc there was some Eberron material, particularly a feat that lets you stack monk and a given psionic class for several monk attributes, incl. flurry. |
